I offer highly personalized, custom instruction for individual students and small groups.
Through a strengths-based, highly individualized, and holistic approach, I strive to meet the unique needs of each individual student and pledge to make learning fun!
My Services
I take the time to truly get to know my students and understand their strengths and interests. With this in mind, I develop lessons that will address my learners' needs and incorporate tasks that make them feel successful and motivated.
Reading
Through an Orton-Gillingham approach, I help children learn how to read in a systematic and emotionally-sound way. If your child is already a reader, then I can help with comprehension skills, while introducing children to some of the greatest books out there.
Writing
Using Self-Regulated Strategy Development, I can demystify what is often the single hardest academic skillset for students to master. Equipping learners with the tools and strategies they need understand the writing process, I help children build the necessary foundation to write with ease.
Math
Math-related challenges are often caused by a lack of conceptual understanding. Using a Singapore-based approach, I help students understand math at a conceptual level and use real world examples to make the work interesting and relevant.
Executive Functioning
Does your child have difficulty initiating tasks, organizing written work, sequencing events, or managing her time? Your student may have an executive functioning deficit, and I can help! Through extensive modeling, checklists, and explicit instruction, I’ll help your child develop and improve executive functioning skills critical for academic success.
