FAQs

Have a question? Let’s see if I can answer it below!

Who is your typical student?

I truly do not have a “typical” student. I teach students in pre-K through college, with and without learning variations. The vast majority of my students come to me for literacy-related support, which is truly my bread and butter. Decoding, fluency, reading comprehension, writing skills, and analytical writing make up most of my sessions.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Most of my practice is virtual; however, if the timing works, I offer in-person support on the Upper East Side.

How do you make virtual sessions engaging?

Though teaching virtually is certainly not what most educators were trained to do, we have all had to be our most creative selves during the pandemic to determine how to make distance learning truly engaging. Playing into students’ specific interests, incorporating opportunities for movement, using interactive virtual games and whiteboards are just a few of the ways that I make my sessions truly dynamic. I will get your child up and moving and have them feeling like they are in an actual classroom in no time!
